Mr Kevin Arthur
Headteacher - Battle Hill Primary School

The School Took Part in the pilot project for the Healthy Goals Lifestyle Programme from May 2003 - July 2003. The knowldege and skill of the facilitators of this scheme, and the methods they used to deliver it to the children ensured a very successful project. The children were motivated and enthusiastic and the scheme proved to be a great way to teach elements of the PSCHE curriculum. This link between practical sports coaching and the PSCHE curriculum motivated the children to produce excellent results. The exercise and diet diary worked well and initiated some parents to change elements of their lifestyle, including providing their children with a more healthy diet. The health road shows were enthusiastically recieved and the award ceremony provided a fitting end to an excellent project.
I can thoroughly recommend the Healthy Goals Lifestyle Programme as a means of delivering the PHSE curriculum in a meaningful way to Key Stage 2 children.

Headteacher - Amberley Primary School

What a wonderful experience the course provided for our pupils! Pupils took part in PSCHE and physical activities within an environment which developed self confidence and self esteem and fostered mutual respect for others. The course leaders were professional and competent , they were excellent role models for the children. An enjoyable experience for staff and pupils.

Greenfields

Pupils of Greenfield Primary School

This year Greenfields Community Primary School entered in Healthy Goals 2006. Marc Nash, one of the directors of Healthy Goals came to Greenfields to do some healthy training. The first week the team came to weigh us with a special machine that measures the amount of fat and muscle in all areas of the body. It also measures the amount of water, protein and minerals in your body, and can even tell you how many calories your body needs to survive each day.

The second week Marc and one of his friends came to start the outside and indoor activities. Marc did a running activity which made a lot of people very tired, Marcs friend did a ladder activity. For the ladder activity you had to run quickly through the holes in the ladder. When you were done, you had to run to the cone and back in your line. Then you got into pairs and you had to get in a hoop without using your hands, (lots of people found it very hard). After, we went and got changed and went upstairs and started the indoor activities.

Here are some of our comments:

Josh liked the ladders because it was fun!
Dylan liked the alphabetical order because it was challenging!
Pippa liked the hoola hoops because she thought it was fun!
Megan liked working in the classroom because she liked cooperating with her friends!
